Orthodontics

In veterinary dentistry the movement of teeth is a treatment option considered for malocclusions (unusual alignment of teeth).  It is only considered a treatment option when it has been determined to be medically necessary for the comfort of the patient.  It is not considered as a treatment for purely cosmetic reasons.  Orthodontic appliances require extensive home care and frequent monitoring with the Board-Certified Veterinary Dentist®.
