Recently, we discovered a new service that has swept into the St. Louis area: cat boarding and grooming resorts! If you are a cat lover and have not discovered these amazing places, have we got a treat for you! We have discovered two locations in the St. Louis area, and you are sure to want to check them both out. As far as most cats are concerned, the best thing about these resorts is that there are no dogs allowed. If you want a place to house both your canine and feline friends, these are not for you. But if you are looking for a place to cater to your feline companion, read on.
Purr Luxe
This five-star facility, located in St. Charles, Missouri, offers cat boarding, grooming, and even daycare! The boarding suites range anywhere from a cozy one-level ranch-style accommodation up to the generous accommodations of the Purresidential Suite. Some of the boarding options can accommodate multiple cats from the same household. A variety of enrichment activities are available, including Churu treats, catnip, extra playtime, massage and brush, a charCATurie board, water fountain, and a nail trim. You can even receive picture updates of your companion so you know they are happy and well cared for.
In addition to boarding, this resort offers feline grooming services from a Certified Feline Master Groomer. They offer services like bathing, different types of trims, waterless grooming, kitten grooming, and even special grooming for our hairless felines. They even offer a few extra add-ons. If you have a kitty friend in need of a getaway or some extra help with grooming, this might be the place for your furry friend.
Cat Tails Lodge
This brand new five-star, feline-only facility is located in Wildwood, Missouri, and boasts some beautiful themed boarding suites that are a must-see. Every room has wonderful window views, beds, and climbing opportunities to tempt the finickiest of felines. In the suites, multiple cats from one family can room together and maintain familiar social interactions. In addition, they have a lodge option for those kitties who need a slightly more cozy accommodation.
Their enrichment lounge is a beautifully equipped feline paradise. Cats can be treated to a VIPurr day where they are the star of the show for the day, and every cat receives play sessions and free time in the enrichment lounge for an hour each day. In addition, you will receive daily photo or video updates about your kitty so you know they are enjoying their own little vacation. While grooming is not currently available, it is coming soon, so keep an eye out for this service in the near future.
Now you know what we know about this trend that has come to St. Louis. If you have feline friends you adore, I encourage you to check out these options the next time your cat needs a home away from home.
If your cat’s boarding or grooming team notices a dental concern during their stay, contact us to schedule an evaluation and make sure their smile gets the care it needs.
